This project involved the construction of a 40 MGD sedimentation and flocculation basin, modification to flow distribution structure, upgrade of filters, new filtered water, and backwash piping, 3 million gallon chlorine contact tank (CCT), 17.5 MG Treated Water Reservoir (TWR), new chemical feed system with tanks, pumps and piping for TWR, new standby generator and fuel tanks, upgrade of electrical system and instrumentation & control system, replacement of butterfly valves, new 78” pipeline and tunnel, miscellaneous piping, site excavation and grading. CPM provided services for several tasks preparing daily diaries using the SFPUC’s construction management information system, attending weekly construction meetings, approving daily time and material tags, timely processing of RFI/Submittals using CMIS-Oracle Primavera, and attending weekly progress meetings and recording meeting minutes. CPM also maintained as-built drawing records, managed the project closeout, provided the timely processing of pay applications, efficient change order management, assisted in claims mitigations, and cost and quantity estimates for change orders. The team provided support for scheduling, time impact analysis for change orders and schedule claims analysis, reviewed and commented on contractor’s monthly progress schedule update, analyzed and monitored cost and schedule trends, and provided an independent assessment of the project progress and forecast at completion of schedule and cost. CPM supplied clerical, administrative, and document control/records management support to the project CM office and support to the Regional CM team.
