About
The Santa Clara Medical Center’s Seismic Safety project is a 2-phase project in response to the State’s mandate for earthquake safety that requires hospitals in California to be able to withstand a major earthquake by 2013. Phase I included demolition of existing structures, improvements to the main entrance of the campus, and development of a new bed building with 168 intensive care, acute/transitional, and rehabilitation beds. Seismic upgrades and sustainability considerations were incorporated throughout the program. The project received LEED Gold certification.
CPM provided oversight and coordination of the special inspection, Inspectors of Record, contract and office administration, and administrative support to the Owner and Architect.
