The Rinconada Water Treatment Plant Reliability Improvement project is a major capital improvement project aimed to improve and upgrade the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant, the SCVWD’s oldest water plant that serves more than one million residents in Santa Clara County’s west side.
Improvements to address deficiencies in the water plant and assure the reliability of its operation and water quality will include retrofitting, upgrading, and replacing major equipment to meet higher standards for water quality, seismic and structural integrity, and environmental impacts. The work will also increase the plant’s treatment capacity from 80 million gallons a day to 100 million gallons of water per day. The plant must remain fully operational throughout construction.
CPM provided daily inspection of civil, concrete, and electrical construction activities for the project. The team also oversaw work on existing electrical infrastructure, installation of new site electrical, and commissioning of new equipment.
