About:
This project includes the rehablitation of Taxiway B, the only taxiway providing access between North Field and South Field at Oakland Airport. The first phase was performed under a different contract and this project is for Phase 2 and 3. The project includes the installation of temporary barricades, removal of existing asphalt concrete and markings, temporary removal of taxiway light fixtures, and civil grading followed by utility adjustments, reinstallation of taxiway light fixtures, and installation of new asphalt pavement and pavement markings, electrical light can extensions, light cans, cables, conduits,light fixtures, and guidance signage.
CPM provides construction management and construction inspection services for this project. Our team inspects construction in the field, ensuring that work is safe and adhering to the construction documents, and providing daily inspection reports and quantity tracking. Our construction managers support Port resident engineers with daily stakeholder and contractor coordination, change management, cost controls, submittal and RFI processing using the Port’s SharePoint site, FAA weekly reports, facilitating weekly meetings, and scheduling of the Port’s Quality Assurance consultant.
