About
The City of Alameda adopted a $17.7 million program that involved the rehabilitation of the historic Alameda Theatre and the construction of a new parking structure adjacent to the theatre. The Alameda Theatre is a 34,000 sf Art Deco building in the heart of downtown Alameda, originally constructed in the 1930s. The restoration project entailed extensive structural upgrades to meet seismic requirements. The adjacent parking structure is a 108,000 sf seven-level post-tensioned structure with minimal clearance between other structures on three sides, and constrained access due to its downtown location.
For this historic restoration project, CPM provided PM/CM Services as well as construction inspection.
